Project description:To study the differentially expressed genes in postmenopausal osteoporosis , a postmenopausal osteoporosis rat model were constructed by bilateral ovariectomy. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of the rat femur tissues.
Project description:To investigate the function of Desertliving Cistanche herb in the postmenopausal osteoporosis, we established ovariectomized rats in which both ovaried were removed. We performed gene expression profiling alalysisi using date obtained from RNA-seq of ovariectomized rats of postmenopausal osteoporosis.
Project description:To search for the role of microRNAs in postmenopausal osteoporosis, we used an experimental ovariectomized (OVX) mice moldel. We operated ovariectomy in 3-month-old C57BL/6 mice and collected the femurs after 6months to perform miRNA microarray analysis to identify dysregulated microRNAs.
Project description:The mRNA oligo microarrays from Agilent were used to evaluate behavioral differences in osteoblast-like cells from calvaria and bone marrow of rats induced to osteoporosis by ovariectomy. Microarray data were normalized using quantile and after statistical analysis by unpaired t-test with p-value ≤ 0.005 and subsequent fold change ≥ 2.0, 5.447 differentially expressed mRNAs were detected in calvaria cells and 4.399 mRNAs in bone marrow cells.
Project description:The microRNA oligo microarrays from Agilent were used to evaluate behavioral differences in osteoblast-like cells from calvaria and bone marrow of rats induced to osteoporosis by ovariectomy. The miRNAs data were normalized using the quantile and after statistical analysis by moderate t-test with p-value ≤ 0.05 and subsequent fold change ≥ 1.5, 84 miRNAs differentially expressed in calvaria cells were detected and 55 miRNAs in bone marrow cells.
Project description:Transcriptome analysis of white adipose tissue and bone (femur of the hind limbs) of the AEA001 mutant mouse. ENU generated mouse lines for osteoporosis. The mutation in the Ednra gene causes big ears and a flat short head. Due to a decreased body mass and a trend towards decreased glucose level white adipose tissue was analysed. Total RNA obtained from 4 male mutant mice was compared to 4 controls.
Project description:Twelve-week-old rats underwent bilateral ovariectomy (OVX) or sham surgery. Four weeks after surgery, the animals underwent the following treatments for 4 weeks: subcutaneous injection of teriparatide (TPTD) or saline 3 times weekly. All rats were anesthetized and sacrificed at the end of the experimental period. The L4-5 dorsal root ganglia (DRG) were harvested.
