Cellular communication is a fundamental process in biology. The interaction of adipocytes with macrophages is a key event in the development of common diseases such as type 2 diabetes. Project description:We found that co-culturing BNL CL.2 liver cells with RAW 264.7 macrophages increased IRP binding in the first. To further investigate this modulation we investigated the gene expression profile in BNL CL.2 cells cultured alone, with iron, with RAW 264.7 macrophages or in the presence of both iron and macrophages. Project description:We report the identification of RNAs bound by P23, which was previously uncovered as new poly(A+)-RNA interacting protein in murine RAW 264.7 macrophages (Liepelt, et al., 2016). RNAseq of RNAs immunoprecipitated with P23 revealed that specifc mRNAs were bound differentially in untreated and in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 cells.
