An immature high-oleic acid near-isogenic line of rapeseed

ABSTRACT: To identify differentially expressed proteins in a high-oleic acid rapeseed line, self-bred seeds (20 to 35 days after pollination) of a high- and a low-oleic acid rapeseed near-isogenic line (oleic acid contents of 81.4% and 56.2%, respectively) were used as raw materials for iTRAQ (isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantitation) analysis.

In addition, high-oleic acid rapeseed oil imparts cardiovascular protective effects. Based on these properties, high-oleic acid oil crops have been extensively investigated and cultivated. Project description:Functions of AtVDAC1 and its partner p26 in Arabidopsis thaliana. We previously showed that knock-out mutants impaired in AtVdac1 and p26 (AtVdac1 protein partner) are hypersensitive to salicylic acid: the root growth is more inhibited in response to 30 uM salicylic acid (SA) compared to the wild type. We want to know now which genes are up- or down-regulated in the mutants in control and SA conditions.<br> We want to compare the RNAm contents in the wild type, vdac1 and p26 mutants and, vdac1-p26 double mutant. One-week old plantlets were transferred for 2 hours on a fresh medium containing either 0 or 30uM salicylic acid.<br> Arabidopsis lines (WT, vdac1.1, p26.1, vdac1.1-p26.1) were grown in vertical position on ABIS medium (Lanquar et al., 2006). One week-old seedlings were transferred on a fresh ABIS medium containing either 0 or 30 uM salicylic acid. After 2 hours, the all seedlings were harvested. Three replicates were done; total RNAs from these 3 experiments were mixed together for the transcriptomic analysis.

Project description:In this study, we present an investigation of the yeast response to the exposure to octanoic and decanoic acids, two major fermentation inhibitors. Aerobically grown cells of Saccharomyces cerevisiae U13 wine strain have been exposed to 0,05 mM of octanoic and decanoic acid. We have compared the variations of expression induced by the acid challenges in comparison to a reference non trated modality, as well as the two acid responses. The transcriptome analysis is build in a triangular design in which the RNA extracted from three modalities : reference (non treated cells) , cells exposed to octanoic acid, and cells exposed to decanoic acid are compared. 12 samples have been analyzed in a triangular design (4 samples per modalité), four references (non treated cells), four samples exposed to octanoic acid, four samples exposed to decanoic acid
