Chronic hypoxic response in rod photoreceptors


ABSTRACT: In this study, we address the underlying cause of photoreceptor degeneration by focusing on alterations in energy metabolism during chronic HIF activation. Using layer-specific proteomics, we analyzed proteome alterations in photoreceptor segments and cell bodies upon chronic HIF activation.
