ABSTRACT: OHRB are curcial for the bioremediation of halogenated pollutants across diverse environmental matrices. their ability to survive and function in acidic conditions is particularly significant, given the frequent occurrence of low pH levels in many contaminated sites due to industrial activities and natural processes. howeve,only few OHRB sustain respiratory activities under acidic conditions and the mechanisms remains largely unexplored. Using comparative proteomics of Desulfitobacterium sp. strain AusDCA under acidic and neutral during dehalogenation process, we investigated the mechanisms for their adaptive and survival strategies under acidic conditions
