Storage cell proteome from two tardigrade species: Ramazzottius varieornatus and Hypsibius exemplaris
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: R. varieornatus and H. exemplaris have distinct desiccation tolerance capabilities. The isolated cells of these two species exhibited analogous features to those of whole animals. Therefore, we examined the proteome of R. varieornatus and H. exemplaris storage cells to identify differences that could explain the disparity in desiccation tolerance.
