Proteomics time-course of Ramazzottius varieornatus storage cells during rehydration.

ABSTRACT: Isolated storage cells from R. varieornatus exhibit desiccation tolerance. Desiccation is associated with proteotoxic stress, how proteostasis is maintained at the cell level is not understood. We aimed to characterize the dynamics of the R. varieornatus storage cell proteome when recovering from desiccation.
