Mkrn3 binds Gnrh1 mRNA to alter subcellular localization of the Gnrh1 precursor protein - Mkrn3-AP-MS
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Loss-of-function mutations in MKRN3 cause central precocious puberty, and our findings show that MKRN3 regulates GnRH production by binding the Gnrh1 3′UTR and altering subcellular localization of its precursor protein through post-transcriptional mechanisms. This function likely involves interactions with RNA-binding proteins such as IGF2BP2 and may extend to other cell types and neuropeptides. This is work is for the affinity purification mass spectrometry (AP-MS)of MKRN3
