Exosomal protein Profiling in Plasma of DOCA-Salt-Induced Hypertensive and Control Mice


ABSTRACT: This study aimed to profile exosomal protein extracted from plasma of male and female mice treated with DOCA-salt (a model for hypertension) and corresponding baseline controls. The isolated exosomal proteins were sequenced using using LC-MS/MS (Orbitrap Exploris 480+FAIMS Pro). The renin-angiotensin system (RAS) is central to cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and cardiomyopathy, yet the functions of many RAS genes remain unclear.
