Calcitriol-Driven IL-10 IL-22 ILC Differentiation from ILCPs

ABSTRACT: Calcitriol, the active metabolite of vitamin D, modulates immune responses via vitamin D receptor (VDR)-dependent signaling, but its role in innate lymphoid cell (ILC) development remains underexplored. This study elucidates the mechanisms by which calcitriol promotes the differentiation and migration of IL-10+IL-22+ ILC3s from ILC progenitors (ILCPs) in murine and human systems, with implications for intestinal inflammatory disorders.
