Data and information collection on 9 ovarian cancer patients' ascites samples

ABSTRACT: To investigate whether ascites from chemotherapy-responsive patients contains bioactive peptides capable of enhancing chemosensitivity and improving prognosis, we collected ascites samples from two group of patients (chemo-sensitive ovarian(n=4) cancer group: patients who remained tumor-free for at least one year after chemotherapy, chemo-resistant group(n=5): Patients who exhibited primary resistance or whose disease recurred within six months) before surgery. Then the peptidome profiles of the ascites from these patients were analyzed using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
