Mare endometritis and endometrial fibrosis


ABSTRACT: Mare persistent post-breeding endometritis may lead to endometrosis, characterized by excessive fibrosis, which is a major cause of subfertility/infertility. The aim of this work was to compare the proteome of equine endometrium from categories IIA and IIB, with and without endometritis, to identify endometritis-induced changes in endometria with different degrees of fibrosis and investigate how endometrosis modulates the endometrial response.
