Integrative multi-scale physiological, metabolic, and proteomic reprogramming in tomato under polyethylene microplastic stress
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This dataset contains bottom-up, label-free proteomic data from tomato roots exposed to polyethylene microplastics under soil conditions. Tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum cv. Super Dotaerang) were grown for 48 days in agricultural soil containing 0%, 1%, or 5% (w/w) polyethylene microplastics. Root proteomes were analyzed to identify differentially expressed proteins associated with amino acid metabolism, redox regulation, hormone signaling, detoxification, and stress adaptation. The dataset supports the associated manuscript on integrative physiological, metabolic, phytohormonal, and proteomic responses of tomato to polyethylene microplastic stress.
