NC in rodent ischemic optic neuropathy model


ABSTRACT: Nostoc commune (NC), an edible cyanobacterium with established antioxidant and an-ti-inflammatory activities, has emerged as a potential functional bioresource with rel-evance to ocular health. In this study, we evaluated the effects of a crude aqueous NC extract in a rodent model of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (rAION).
