Systemic Proteome Remodeling in Soybean During Nodulation (responses in leaves)
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The aim of this project was to study rhizobia-induced proteome changes in soybean leaves, that might be linked with the autoregulation of nodulation, mediated by the Nodulation Autoregulation Receptor Kinase (NARK). Gene expression analysis of marker genes of the pathway, namely RIC1, RIC2, miR2111 and TML1a/1b, allowed to select three relevant time points for proteome analysis: 0, 3 and 7 dpi. Soybean plants, cultivar Wm82 and the nark mutant nod4, were grown in aeroponics for two weeks and inoculated with Bradyrhizobium diazoefficiens bjGFP. Leaves were harvested at the selected time points. Three technical replicates were included. Proteome dynamics in the roots were also analyzed at 0 and 3 dpi and are uploaded in PRIDE as well.
