Nicotinamide Mononucleotide modifies Clinical and IgE Responses in an Ovalbumin-induced murine model of Allergy and Anaphylaxis

ABSTRACT: Allergic reactions and anaphylactic shock are severe systemic immune responses that can cause extensive tissue injury and disruption of organ architecture. Although the pathophysiology of allergy and anaphylaxis involves profound inflammatory responses, the mechanisms underlying tissue injury and the potential for metabolic intervention remain incompletely understood. This project investigates the protective effects of nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), a precursor of NAD+, in experimental allergic disease and anaphylaxis, with particular emphasis on tissue injury and structural remodeling in peripheral organs.
