Integrated multi-omics analysis identifies candidate genes and proteins associated with oleic acid accumulation in seedless oil palm
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigated developmental changes associated with oleic acid accumulation in seedless oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) mesocarp. Mesocarp tissues were collected at 95, 125, and 185 days after pollination, corresponding to FL1, FL2, and FL3 developmental stages. Quantitative proteomic profiling was performed using two biological replicates per developmental stage. The proteomic dataset was integrated with metabolomic and transcriptomic data to characterize developmental changes in precursor metabolism, fatty acid biosynthesis, desaturation, acyl release, and downstream lipid metabolism.
