Identification of N-glycosylation sites on HHV glycoprotein B trimers

ABSTRACT: Mass spectrometry data for the identification and characterization of N-glycosylation sites on herpesvirus glycoprotein B (gB) trimers. gB proteins were analyzed by LC-MS/MS following proteolytic digestion, with PNGase F-treated and untreated samples analyzed to identify N-glycosylated peptides and assess site occupancy. The dataset includes HCD fragmentation spectra used to support the identification of N-glycosylation sites across gB. Examined protein include HHV-6A gB, HHV-7 gB, and KSHV gB.
