Proteomic profiling of Shewanella xiamenensis LC6 during methyl orange decolorization
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigated the proteomic response of Shewanella xiamenensis LC6 during methyl orange (MO) decolorization. Cells exposed to 196 mg/L MO were harvested at 50% and 90% decolorization and compared with unexposed control cells collected during the mid-exponential growth phase. Total proteins were extracted, processed using an adapted single-pot solid-phase-enhanced sample preparation (SP3) protocol, digested with trypsin, and analyzed by nanoLC–MS/MS using data-independent acquisition (DIA). Proteomic data were processed against the S. xiamenensis LC6 proteome and analyzed to identify differentially abundant proteins and functional processes associated with the cellular response to MO and its decolorization.
