Project description:Analysis of gene expression levels during Fibroblast to sphere cell conversion induced by albumax I containing medium. Murine embryonic fibroblasts (MEF) can be converted to sphere cells in the presence of arachidonic acid and pluronic - F 68. The converted cells exhibit stem cell like properties and and have the potential to differentiate into all the three embryonic germ layers. Our results provide important information on genes that are up- or down-regulated during the reprogramming/conversion process.

The converted cells exhibit stem cell like properties and and have the potential to differentiate into all the three embryonic germ layers. Our results provide important information on genes that are up- or down-regulated during the reprogramming/conversion process. Total RNA was isolated from murine embryonic fibroblasts, normal mouse embryonic stem (MES) cells and converted sphere cells. MES cells were taken as a control/reference population. Three replicated were included for each sample.
Project description:ARID1A, a core constituent of SWI/SNF complex, is mutated in about 10% of colorectal cancer (CRC). This study demonstrates a synergistic effect of arachidonic acid metabolism inhibitors with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) by regulating functionality of CD8+ T cells and vasculogenic mimicry (VM) formation in ARID1A-deficient CRC. Mechanistically, ATAC-seq and ChIP-qPCR demonstrated that the lack of ARID1A results in reduced levels of the key enzymes PTGS1 and PTGS2, which control the arachidonic acid pathway. This reduction generated a reliance on the remaining functionality of arachidonic acid pathway in ARID1A-deficient cells.

Project description:Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the acetic acid bacterium Glucnobacter thailandicus strain NBRC 3255. The draft genome sequence is composed of 109 contigs in 3,305,227 bp and contains 3,225 protein-coding genes. Two paralogous sets of sldAB operons, which are responsible for dihydroxyacetone production from glycerol, were identified.
Project description:Alcanivorax sp. strain NBRC 101098 was isolated from seawater in Japan. Strain NBRC 101098 is able to degrade various types of n-alkanes. Here, we report the complete genome of strain NBRC 101098.
Project description:Comparing the transcriptomic program induced by oleic acid to that of the pro-inflammatory arachidonic acid, we find that Tregs sorted from peripheral blood and adipose of healthy donors transcriptomically resemble the oleic acid in vitro treated Tregs, whereas Tregs obtained from the adipose tissue of relapsing-remitting MS patients more closely resemble an arachidonic acid profile
