Project description:Here, we generated whole-body cell atlases of the king, queen, soldier, and working castes of the termite Zootermopsis nevadensis to investigate caste specialisation of cellular types and transcriptomes. Out of 24 cell clusters, 18 could be annotated based on sister cell types in Drosophila melanogaster and six appeared novel.
