CDFD-Bacterial Genome Sequencing Initiative for One Day One Genome (ODOG) Project

ABSTRACT: This study, conducted by the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics , Hyderabad, as part of the Department of Biotechnology , Government of India One Day One Genome initiative, focuses on the rapid sequencing of bacterial genomes. The initiative aims to sequence and analyze the complete genomes of clinically relevant and environmental bacterial isolates within a single day. This effort contributes to understanding bacterial pathogenicity, antimicrobial resistance , and virulence mechanisms.
