Project description:Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) is a gram negative enteric bacterial pathogen that can cause hemorrhagic colitis and heamolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) in humans and is the cause of bloody diarrhoea and acute renal failure in children. We have studied the transcriptional response of a colon cell line (CaCo2) to infection by EHEC and another closely related enteric pathogen Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) and compared its response to a cervical cell line (Hela). We carried out microarray analysis on CaCo2 infected with EHEC O157H:7 EDL933 and EPEC E2348/69 at 4 hours of infection and analysis on Hela infected with EHEC also at 4 hours of infection

AE065TQ is proteomes of phage JSS1 or JSS1Δ004 infected CX1, a S. enterica serovar Cerro 87 dndFGH deficient strain, harboring a plasmid expressing DndFGH from Escherichia coli B7A. AE065TPST is phosphoproteome of phage JSS1 or JSS1Δ004 infected CX1 harboring a plasmid expressing DndFGH from E. coli B7A.

Project description:Differential transcriptomic responses of Biomphalaria glabrata (Gastropoda, Mollusca) to bacteria and metazoan parasites Schistosoma mansoni and Echinostoma paraensei (Digenea, Platyhelminthes). Transcriptional profiling of Biomphalaria glabrata comparing control uninfected M-line B. glabrata with five experimental groups. The experimental groups are: wounded but not infected M-line, Escherichia coli infected, Micrococcus luteus infected, Echinostoma paraensei infected and Schistosoma mansoni infected at 12 hours time point post infection.

Project description:Here, we investigated the impact of Stx2 phage carriage on Escherichia coli (E. coli) K-12 MG1655 host gene expression. Using quantitative RNA-seq analysis, we compared the transcriptome of naïve MG1655 and the lysogens carrying the Stx2 phage of the 2011 E. coli O104:H4 outbreak strain or of the E. coli O157:H7 strain PA8, which share high degree of sequence similarity.
