Project description:Common overexpressing genes were identified in all human oral squamous cell carcinoma tissues and/or cultured cells. Ten oral squamous cell carcinoma tissues and 10 human oral squamous cell carcinoma cell lines were analyzed. Three normal oral mucosa tissues and a human non-neoplastic keratinocyte cell lines were used as control samples.
Project description:Tobacco exposure has been established to be a major risk factor for developing oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). The purpose of this study is to identify potential biomarkers to distinguish the biological effectsof combustible tobacco products from that of non-combustible tobacco products using normal human gingival epithelial cells (HGEC), non-metastatic (101A) and metastatic (101B) OSCC cell lines.
Project description:Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is highly heterogeneous and metastatic, and the mechanisms driving OSCC development, progression, and metastasis are poorly understood. We performed multiregional single-cell RNA sequencing on 268,131 cells obtained from tumor core, tumor periphery, adjacent non-tumor tissue, and metastatic lymph node samples from 10 patients with human papillomavirus (HPV)–negative metastatic OSCC.
