Project description:Transcriptional profiling of rainbow trout muscle cells comparing muscle cells from small fish with muscle cells from large fish at two time periods. Two-condition experiment, small vs. large-fish muscle cells. Sept. and Dec. spawning fish. Biological replicates: 4 small replicates, 4 large replicates for each time period.
Project description:Transcriptional profiling of rainbow trout liver and muscle cells comparing small fish with large fish within a population of neomale offspring.

Project description:To learn more about the contribution of genes regulating hypertrophy (increase in muscle fibre size) and hyperplasia (generation of new muscle fibres) in the compensatory muscle growth response in fish, we used high-density trout microarray to investigate the global gene expression in trout muscle during a fasting-refeeding schedule and in control-fed trout displaying normal growth.
Project description:Our research aimed to elucidate the cellular and molecular dynamics of muscle-derived cells during the decline of muscle hyperplasia in trout
