Project description:This project contains single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data of the ovarian stroma from the viviparous teleost, black rockfish (Sebastes schlegelii). To define how the ovarian stroma is reprogrammed across reproduction, we profiled stromal cells spanning three distinct biological states: unfertilized, normal-gestation, and abnormal-gestation (characterized by spontaneous embryonic mortality and avascularity). This dataset aims to characterize the stromal cell composition, developmental trajectories, and immune-vascular interactions critical for maintaining intraovarian gestation, providing insights into the evolutionary biology of teleost viviparity.
