Project description:The purpose of this study was to validate the role of abundant miRNA, miR-136-3p, in extra vesicles collected from serum after training. We transfected miR-136-3p into human skeletal muscle cells. To search of targets genes of miR-136-3p, we performed transcriptome analysis to compare expression profiles between control and miR-136-3p transfected human skeletal muscle cells.
Project description:Using Affymetrix GeneChips, we analyzed expression profiles of SP cells from EOM and TA. 348 differentially expressed transcripts defined the EOM-SP transcriptome: 229 upregulated in EOM-SP and 119 in TA-SP. Keywords: Expression Profiling
Project description:We identified several exercise training-responsive miRNAs within exosome-rich EVs in serum, including miR-136-3p. In human myotubes, miR-136-3p enhanced glucose uptake and targeted the nardilysin convertase (NRDC) gene. To search miR-136-3p and NRDC relating function in human myotubes, we performed transcriptome analysis.
Project description:Transcriptome-wide analysis of K562 leukemia cells treated with the DNA crosslinking agent SJG-136 to characterize DNA damage and stress response pathways. Time-dependent transcriptional responses were examined following 2, 6, 9, and 12 hours of exposure using the GE Healthcare/Amersham CodeLink™ Human Whole Genome Bioarray platform (GPL2895).
