We used tiling arrays to compare the testicular expression of chromosomes 2, X, Y and the mitochondrial genome between Mus m. domesticus and Mus spretus. We found an excess of dysregulated non-coding RNAs on chromosome 2. This group consists of intronic antisense RNAs, intergenic RNAs and also prema...

Autosomal trisomies and monosomies bring serious threats to embryonic development through transcriptional disarray primarily caused by the dosage effect of the aneuploid part of the genome. The present study compared the effect of a mouse viable 30 Mb segmental trisomy on the genome-wide transcripti...

In the Prdm9-driven sterility of Mus m. musculus x Mus m. domesticus hybrids a Prdm9-interacting hybrid sterility gene was mapped in the X-linked Hstx2 locus. Here we show that the Mir465 microRNA gene cluster is the predicted Hstx2 hybrid sterility factor involved in Prdm9 interaction.
