To systemically explore how RNA quality affects microarray assay results, a set of rat liver RNA samples with a progressive change in RNA quality was generated either by thawing frozen tissue or by ex vivo incubation of fresh tissue.

At one site (#10), three different batches of MTRRM (see E-TABM-16), were labeled with two different kits (Enzo and Affymetrix) and hybridized to two different Affymetrix Arrays (RAE230A and RAE230_2).

Process drift at one site was monitored by assaying the rat Mixed Tissue RNA Reference Material (see E-TABM-16) multiple times a week for 8.5 months.

OrbiSIMS is a recently developed instrument for label-free imaging of chemicals with micron spatial resolution and high mass resolution. We report a cryogenic workflow for OrbiSIMS (Cryo-OrbiSIMS) that improves chemical detection of lipids and other biomolecules in tissues. Cryo-OrbiSIMS boosts ioni...

Evaluation and comparison of biological responses of rats and gene expression responses of the kidney in rats exposed to different doses of Puromycin [CAS:53-79-2;CHEBI:17939]

A functional biodiversity microarray (EcoChip) prototype has been developed to facilitate the analysis of fungal communities in environmental samples with broad functional and phylogenetic coverage and to enable the incorporation of nucleic acid sequence data as they become available from large-scal...

Microarray analysis was used to evaluate expression differences from a single donor human bone marrow stromal cells (hBMSCs) as a function of varied polymer-based tissue engineering scaffolds. The results revealed that gene expression patterns of hBMSCs grouped according to scaffold. A library of sc...
