Quantitatve, isobaric labelling based, proteomics was used to study changes in the whole cell E. huxleyi proteome over a 24 hour cycle, and comparing C-cells with N-cells.
The aim was to assess quantitative changes in the Emiliania huxleyi protein as cells transitioned from a low calcium grown state in which they do not calcify, to hight calcium, calcifying condition.
This dataset consists of spectra derrived from whole-cell extracts of Emiliania huxleyi. They were used to perform quality control check on the predicted proteomes used as databases for protein identification.
