The influence of Sro9 on steady-state levels of a specific set of mRNAs in yeast was investigated. This was assessed using whole genome expression profiling of delta Sro9 in comparison to wild-type cells.

PAR-CLIP of Slf1 and Sro9 during optimal growth and oxidative stress
We quantified the binding sites of the La related RNA-binding proteins Slf1 and Sro9 within RNAs using PAR-CLIP. Datasets were obtained for yeast cells during optimal growth and during the cellular response to peroxide stress.

The mechanisms by which RNA-binding proteins control the translation of subsets of mRNAs are not yet clear. Sro9p is an atypical La motif containing protein (LARP). LARPs are members of a superfamily of RNA-binding proteins conserved across eukaryotes. We performed transcriptomics and RIP-Seq analys...

To identify RNAs specifically associated with Slf1p and Sro9p, cells expressing TAP-tagged Slf1, Sro9 or Fpr1 (negative control) were grown to mid-log phase in synthetic complete medium and harvested by centrifugation. RNA affinity isolations were essentially performed as described (Gerber et al. 20...
