Project description:This experiment analyzes the changes in expression of twelve days old Arabidopsis roots after 10 hours of beet cyst nematode Heterodera schachtii treatment
Project description:This experiment analyzes the changes in expression of twelve days old Arabidopsis roots at ten hours post inoculation upon cyst nematode H. schachtii infection.
Project description:Brassica oleraceae plants were treated with jasmonic acid either at the roots or two leaves. An acidic (HCl) water sollution with the same pH as the jasmonic acid sollution was also applied to two leaves of the root jasmonic acid treated plants, and to the roots of leaf jasmonic acid treated plants. Control plants received a mock treatment on roots and leaves with acidic water of the same pH as the jasmonic acid sollution. The whole root system and two systemic leaves were harvested separately at 6, 18 and 30 h after treatment. For each time point, tissue and treatment, three biological replicates (except two replicates for 'Root-Cont-18h' sample) were made consisting of pooled tissue samples from 10 plants. Gene expression was analyzed in both tissues using the 29,000 element Arabidopsis Oligonucleotide Microarrays (Qiagen-Operon Arabidopsis Genome Array Ready Oligo Set version 3.0).
Project description:Experiments were achieved on Arabidopsis thaliana. Transcriptional profiling of roots and shoots from plants treated with lead were compared to plants treated in similar conditions without lead. Four weeks old A. thaliana seedlings were treated in hydroponic cultures with Pb during 3 days, by adding or not 40 µM Pb(NO3)2.
Project description:The goal of the experiments is to identify differential genes between the roots of Arabidopsis thaliana and roots treated for 3 h with 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC). ACC blocks the maximal cell elongation of the root cells. - Arabidopsis plants are grown for 5 days on MS medium and then we transfer them to a medium supplemented with ACC (5uM) or without ACC. After 3 h of growth, we isolate the RNA of the roots. Keywords: treated vs untreated comparison
Project description:To identify candidate secreted proteins by the plant symbiont Serendipita indica, we infected the roots of the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana with fungal spores. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of 2 conditions (mock and treated) and 2 timepoints (3 and 10 days after infection).
