RNA-Seq of zebrafish ovary treated with artificial light at night (ALAN) against a normal light dark sample
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Artificial light at night (ALAN) alters zebrafish physiology. The present study performed on ALAN-induced (normal Light-Dark, LD; continuous light for one week, LLW; one month, LLM; and one year, LLY) ovarian transcriptome to investigate the effects it causes to the organism. The results displayed a desynchronisation of various genes and pathways leading to the initiation of several diseases, for the first time in zebrafish.
INSTRUMENT(S): Illumina HiSeq 2500, SENSE mRNA-Seq Library Prep Kit V2 (Lexogen, Austria), Trizol method
ORGANISM(S): Danio rerio
