Transcriptomic profiling of rat epicardial cells under normoxic, hypoxic and reoxygenation conditions
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study employs bulk RNA-seq to investigate the transcriptomic changes in rat epicardial mesothelial cells (EMCs) under different oxygen conditions. We compare gene expression profiles between normoxia (20% O2, 48 hours), hypoxia (0.1% O2, 48 hours), and reoxygenation (recovery after 24 hours hypoxia). The goal is to identify key pathways and differentially expressed genes involved in the cellular response to oxygen deprivation and recovery. This work provides insights into the molecular mechanisms of ischemia-reperfusion injury and may contribute to understanding cardiac adaptation to hypoxia.
