Enhancing reprogramming towards human expanded pluripotency

ABSTRACT: Engineered SOX17 (eSOX17) factors were used to replace Yamanaka factor SOX2 in induced expanded potential stem cell (EPSC) reprogramming. eSOX17 achieved more efficient reprogramming under both feeder and feeder-free conditions. We have compared the iEPSC cell lines generated during the reprogramming with the embryo-derived EPSC control and found a similar gene expression pattern.
