Gallic acid modulates copper and iron homeostasis and antioxidant systems in Saccharomyces cerevisiae


ABSTRACT: RNA-seq was performed to characterize the transcriptional response of S. cerevisiae BY4742 to sub-inhibitory gallic acid (GA) treatment (1 mg/mL, 16 h) versus untreated control, to identify genes involved in copper/iron homeostasis and antioxidant defense.
