Embryonic transcriptional program for remodeling of the heart circulation
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: The branchial arches house bilaterally symmetric embryonic vessels, called aortic arches which connect the heart to the embryonic circulation. These undergo a significant remodelling to form the final structure of the great arteries of the neck and head. This study compared the transcriptomes of E11.5 branchial arches and cells isolated from branchial arches and cultured in vitro.
