Mycotoxins are secondary metabolites produced by fungi such as Aspergillus, Alternaria, and Penicillium, affecting nearly 80% of global food crops. Tenuazonic acid (TeA) is the major mycotoxin produced by Alternaria alternata, a prevalent pathogen affecting plants, fruits, and vegetables.
