Clustering Epilepsy (CE) is an epileptic disorder with neurological comorbidities caused by heterozygous variants of the X chromosome gene Protocadherin 19 (PCDH19). Recent studies have implicated dysregulation of the Nuclear Hormone Receptor (NHR) pathway in CE pathogenesis.
