Layered transition metal oxides (Na<sub><i>x</i></sub>TMO<sub>2</sub>) possess attractive features such as large specific capacity, high ionic conductivity, and a scalable synthesis process, making them a promising cathode candidate for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs).
