In order to enrich hybrid materials, a novel fluorescent silsesquioxane-based polymer (denoted as PCS-OTS) was synthesized by Friedel-Crafts reaction starting from octavinylsilsesquioxane (OVS) with triphenylamine-functionalized silsesquioxane monomer (denoted as OTS) with AlCl<sub>3</sub> as catalyst.
