The genus <i>Veillonella</i> is a common and abundant member of the oral microbiome. It includes eight species, <i>V. atypica</i>, <i>V. denticariosi</i>, <i>V. dispar</i>, <i>V. infantium</i>, <i>V. nakazawae</i>, <i>V. parvula</i>, <i>V. rogosae</i> and <i>V. tobetusensis</i>.
