The 3C-like protease (M<sup>pro</sup>, 3CL<sup>pro</sup>) plays a key role in the replication process in coronaviruses (CoVs). The M<sup>pro</sup> is an essential enzyme mediates CoVs replication and is a promising target for development of antiviral drugs.
