In this study, oligomers of carboxymethyl cellulose (O-CMC) were used as a new postharvest treatment for fresh produce. The oligomers were prepared by green and cost-effective enzymatic hydrolysis and applied to prevent spoilage and improve storability of fresh-cut strawberries.
