Curcumin, a natural polyphenol derived from the spice turmeric (<i>Curcuma longa</i>), contains antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer properties. However, curcumin bioavailability is inherently low due to poor water solubility and rapid metabolism.
