Lung adenocarcinoma UNC0638 gene expression

ABSTRACT: Experiment was to determine the effects of G9a inhibition using chemical inhibitor UNC0638 on murine lung adenocarcinoma cell lines Overall design: 4 indpendent samples from two different cell lines, CK1750 and TnM2 were grown with either UNC0638 or vehicle control for 4 days. Cells were then harvested and RNA purified and sequenced.

Epigenetic regulators are attractive anticancer targets, but the promise of therapeutic strategies inhibiting some of these factors has not been proven in vivo or taken into account tumor cell heterogeneity. Here we show that the histone methyltransferase G9a, reported to be a therapeutic target in many cancers, is a suppressor of aggressive lung tumor-propagating cells (TPCs).
