ABSTRACT: Transcriptome analysis of freshly sorted human CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells, human CD14+ peripheral blood monocytes and the human cell line U937 Keywords: one-color based gene expression Overall design: Cells used for this study included freshly sorted human CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells from two independent healthy male donors, human CD14+ peripheral blood monocytes from three independent healthy male donors and the human cell line U937. Each sample was analysed seperately.

Aberrant DNA methylation at CpG islands is thought to contribute to cancer initiation and progression, but mechanisms that establish and maintain DNA methylation status during tumorigenesis or normal development remain poorly understood.
