Expression data from budding yeast sec12-4 and sec12-4 ino2Δino4Δ mutant cells
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Sec12 is a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) required for the initiation of COPII vesicle formation in ER to Golgi transport. The sec12-4 mutant cells show temperature sensitivity in growth and a defect in ER-to-Golgi protein transport. Ino2/Ino4 are components of the heteromeric basic helix-loop-helix transcription activator that binds inositol/choline-responsive elements (ICREs) and are required for derepression of phospholipid biosynthetic genes in response to inositol depletion. We used microarrays to compare the global gene expression profiles between sec12-4 and sec12-4 ino2Δino4Δmutant cells.
