Intratumoral injection of CpG1826


ABSTRACT: To determine the effect on gene expression of intratumoral injection of the Toll-like receptor agonist CpG1826. MC38 colon cancer cells were injected subcutaneously into C57BL/6 mice and allowed to establish until ~40 mm2. Overall design: 5 CpG1826-treated samples were analyzed and compared to 5 PBS-injected control tumors.

PURPOSE: To determine the antitumor activity of a novel combination of two immunomodulatory agents that simultaneously direct multiple components of immunity against cancer. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: We combined the Toll-like receptor agonist CpG 1826 with a T-cell costimulatory antibody specific for CD137 in an optimal treatment route and dosing schedule against established tumors in two mouse models.
