Endothelial Parkin safeguards coronary microcirculation in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Gaining a deeper insight into the signals and molecular mechanisms that govern the function of coronary endothelial cells after MI/R could pave the way for the discovery of new preventative and therapeutic approaches. The functional role of Parkin in coronary microvascular injury in response to MI/R is unclear. Here, we investigated the upstream regulators and downstream effectors of Parkin against MI/R damage and examined the underlying mechanisms.
